Hello and welcome!

My name is Monica Blackburn, and I’m a former math teacher and currently a busy mom to two amazing kids, a student and a curriculum developer.

My mission is to simplify teaching and learning math and share ways for students to play math. I started this website to share math tips, tools, and resources. With time, I hope to create activities incorporating strategies that encourage students to be creative while playing with math ideas.

I have always been passionate about how students learn math, which led me to obtain my Master of Science in Education. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve learned many insights and strategies that I hope will be useful to you.

Beyond math, I love hanging out with my family, reading, cooking, travelling, playing sports, learning new things, and trying to live each day to the fullest while having fun!
